DLS Collaborates with Carmen and Mark Menza, this Friday for Aurora

Artist Carmen Menza to Exhibit at Aurora
On October 28th, Aurora 2011 arrives in Dallas! Aurora is a night of FREE public art that will transform the Dallas Arts District. This Friday, emerging and established artists from around the country will create site-specific installations of light, sound, performance and projection art. The events kicks off at 7:30pm and lasts until midnight.

All are welcome to come experience the Arts District neighborhood in an unexpected way, with art in unexpected places.

Artist Mark Menza to Exhibit at Aurora

Dallas Light and Sound is collaborating with noted Dallas artists Carmen and Mark Menza as they create an interactive installation at the Crowe Museum of Asian Art. Carmen is creating a piece of art that will gradually diminish and eventually disappear as the evening progresses. Attendees will be invited to take a piece of the Menza experience in light with them as they visit installations from other artists. Mark Menza has composed new, original music for the installation. Dallas Light and Sound designed the lighting for the Menza’s art space at the Crowe Museum, upper and lower levels.
