Diverse Events +More Make for a Wonderful April...

Dallas Light and Sound is thankful to our clients for providing a very busy and creative April, with three very diverse events already completed, weddings at Texas Discovery Gardens, a Friday night date with Audrey Hepburn, and one more major event to go before month end. Two of April's events took place at the Frontiers of Flight Museum - one of our favorite facilities in Dallas. A fashion show followed by a gala fundraiser saw two different approaches to the space. To find out more about all four, read on!

Our second major event for April involved turning a nightclub into a theatre to host a performance by actor, author and comic - Emmy Award Winner Leslie Jordan.

The Round-Up Saloon is a country dancehall -and our job was o turn it inot a performance venue
suitable for an Emmy Award Winner.

Emmy Award Winner Leslie Jordan is unbelievably funny.
He looks great standing in front of an exclusive Stage Backdrop designed
and installed by Dallas Light and Sound.
Who knew.... a country saloon transformed into a theater? Dallas Light and Sound, under the direction of event designer Craig Canant, transformed the Round Up Saloon and Dancehall into a seated performance venue for the Dallas appearance of comic, actor and author Leslie Jordan. With Co-Emcess Ron Corning from WFAA News 8 Daybreak and America's Sassiest Lifestyle Guru Steve Kembel, more than 300 patrons turned out to support the US House candidacy of Oklahoma's Al McAfree. Crow Collection Welcomes Orizon for "After Dark" Dance and Vocal Performance

With Choreography by Micaela Brigida, performance by members of Orizon, and lighting by Dallas Light and Sound... patrons at the Crow Collection Museum of Asian Art were treated to a pair of memorable performances at After Dark. After Dark takes place on the third Friday of each Month, and consists of Asian art and culture unlike anything on the globe. February 2014 saw interpretive dance and a vocals in front of this facade of a residence constructed of red sandstone in Rajasthan-style from the Mughal Period. It was a pleasure and privilege to light both the performers and this historic artifact.

Orizon is a community of ONE, like a spirit that strives to unite many cultures of one mind and heart as a reflection of our ancestors. It celebrates the unique gifts and talents of the Orizon community by giving back to what matters 'Living Life to the Fullest' as whole & complete.

The Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art is a museum dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia, located in downtown Dallas, Texas (USA). The Crow Collection opened to the public on December 5, 1998, as a gift to the people and visitors of Dallas from Mr. and Mrs. Trammell Crow. The museum is a member of the Dallas Arts District.
