ArtLoveMagic Presents girlShow 2012 at South Side on Lamar

For 5 years, ArtLoveMagic's annual girlShow has featured the finest female art and music talent in DFW. This showcase of our creative sisters is mind blowing in scope and in 2012 will include over 50 artists and performers who will crowd girlShow's halls and three huge sections. ArtLoveMagic's annual celebration of female talent in Dallas is scheduled for Saturday October 20th, 2012, and will be held at South Side on Lamar - 1409 S Lamar in Dallas.

This year's theme - REWIND - challenges the participanting women to create works inspired by some of the most important women in history...... the artists, the rebels, the world changers. Artists are still being confirmed and information about the event is now coming out weekly. Dallas Light and Sound invites you to be inspired by painters, musicians, poets, photographers, sculptors, dancers, fashion designers, jewelers, comedians, and filmmakers who are not just showcasing their art... but creating it live.

In preparation for girlShow on October 20th, 2012, ArtLoveMagic is hosting a model casting call on August 25th at 2630 East Commerce Street, Dallas, Texas, 75226 from 2:00 to 5:00pm. Most models will be featured in one of two fashion shows within the Blue Room, the artistic sensuality experience portion of girlShow. The clothing lines shown will include Dollskin Designs, Madame Fiery and Mom’s Closet sold at Dallas Pinup.

ArtLoveMagic selected Dallas Light and Sound to provide audio, lighting, and staging for the main stage and for the Blue Room for the 2012 edition of girlShow.

ArtLoveMagic was founded in January of 2007 by Michael Lagocki, Justin Nygren, and David Rodriguez. Our inspiration was the belief that a staggering amount of artistic talent in our area (Dallas/Fort Worth) was going unrecognized and/or underdeveloped. They knew from personal experiences that artists, writers, and musicians thrive when they work together in creative environments. Today ArtLoveMagic is nearing their 100th unique event and have worked with countless artists and performers in the DFW area. The organization participates in most of the major local festivals and has worked with dozens of local business, schools, and organizations to bring live art and music to the city.
